I am in search of a downloadable version (mp3 or equivalent) of an old "shock" radio show with the star being a young boy named "Timmy" that aired in the early 90's. Apparently the show and the station have since been shut down. If anyone out there remembers the radio station that played the show, the DJ who "sponsored" the show, audio files of the show(s), or any other details of the show, I would be very grateful. A friend of mine has fond memories of the show and I would like to try and get him a copy of as many of the "episodes" as possible.
Thanks in advance!

If I’m wrong, anyone feel free to correct me.
I believe John Carter did the “Timmy” character back when the “John and Dan Show” was on 103.5, and possibly z93.
I’m 99% sure John Carter played Timmy’s dad… I’m not sure if he played Timmy as well.

I believe you're correct. I remember delivering a pizza to the station in 1984 and Carter working late in the studio putting together the sketch. He asked me to contribute some "moaning" to the track -- but I did not impress him with my skills.

Thank you for your help!! This will make my search much easier.
If anyone is aware of how to get a hold of audio files containing any or all of the episodes, I would be very grateful.

My brother and I listened to that show many times on the long drives from SLC to California with our parents, early 90's. My dad even remembers listening to it. A friend of my brother's recorded it on a cassette tape and it has since been lost.
What I do remember of the show is that Timmy was a fat little kid who was always getting into trouble. His dad made him play an accordion, which Timmy called called his squeeze box.
If you find where to get a copy, let me know. I'd like a copy.

Their were Timmy Tapes put out when they did the show on Rock-103, I was digging through some old tapes the other day, and found 2 or 3 of just radio, somebody flipping through radio stations for 3, 90 min cassette tapes, it's almost creepy, I have no Idea who's they are, but by the ad's, (Double Tree Inn) and some of the jocks that are on the stations, I'm gonna guess it's somewhere between 85, and 88! but id imagine Timmy's gotta be on one of those? but they without a doubt released like compilation cassette tapes of Timmy when they were on Rock 103, so all you have to do is track one of them down, if I see one, or come across ed one I'll let you know.

I have one cassette of the Best of Timmy (vol 1) that I've converted to mp3. I'd love to trade with anyone who has more shows. Recently, I emailed Jon Carter about Timmy and here was his reply:
"Let it go.....the 80's happened, now they're over. The 90's came and went. All good things end.
Timmy is not available. His cassettes have not been re-issued. And "the world" wouldn't enjoy the old episodes anyway. Nobody would "get" the comedy in Timmy, if they're not from Utah.
Yes...Timmy was cute and funny. I know you have a special sweet spot in your memory where Timmy lives. Let him stay right there. Let it go... ~ jc"
I think there's probably a lot of people out there that would love to hear the shows again.

Another thing I learned from Jon Carter is that he is still friends with Dan Bommas and still sees him frequently. I think that's great. They had such good comedic chemistry on the radio.

I have a lot of respect for Jon Carter. He is a fantastic host, but I must say I am confused by his response about "Timmy." Sure, it was 80's at its best, but it is also about local radio history. He should be pleased that one of his brainchildren has made it this far into the future. I wonder how many bits from current jocks and jockettes will be remembered 20 years from today?
