At 125pm: 94.9 is live but running a dead carrier. 97.5 is totally silent, no background signal, none of the boosters are live either apparently, at least the Utah County booster is not live.
Edit: Just found them on 105.1 down here and heard them ID as '97.5 The Blaze'. Listen at the top of the hour to see if they got new calls for either 97.5 and/or 105.1 yet. It is possible however that the 105.1 simulcast is temporary.
Found additional information on Radio and Records. Although R&R screwed up on what frequency they moved to, they did report the same as I found. That appeared in a one-paragraph article on their site. New calls are coming for 94.9 and 105.1, and the KOAY calls will likely disappear shortly as well, they have been on the silent 97.5 station since the demise of 'The Oasis'. I anticipate the KHTB calls will go to 97.5.
They are barely listenable on 105.1, board sound level settings is the issue.

Was there any warning of this? Or was this an 11th hour switch throw?

97.5 The Blaze sounds great! And props to Monroe for actually talking about it. If she'd pretended like nothing happened, I'd be annoyed. (I mean, remember "Dexter and Mercedes?")

Actually, 97.5 is more hard rock than they were while at 94.9, it's more of a true 'active rock' format so I'm seeing some tweaking of the format. X96 doesn't matter in this case as they play a more alt-based brand of hard rock.
I'm thinking the 105.1 matter is simply a placeholder for when they move that to Farnsworth. I'm thinking that U-92 or 97.5 will move to that. U-92 is slated for a downgrade from a C3 to an A so they won't get much out of Salt Lake County after that.

I'm not sure it's prudent to go into ALL the details here but rest assured our mouths were gagged leading up to the change. We couldn't say anything until it was done. Now that it IS done, we're focused on moving forward. We're not going to be dumb and pretend like nothing happened. We've always treated our listeners as equals and we'll continue to do so. No format tweaks have been made and if we sounded a little harder today, it's probably a reflection of our rebellious attitude and a product of the listeners' requests. That's right I said REQUESTS.
I'm SURE X96 is NOT wetting their pants. They have no reason to. I firmly believe there is room in this market for both of us. We're not out to get anyone. We just want to do our thing...but it seems some people are intent on ****ing with us.
So be it. ROG

The only thing that concerns me is this...
I'm in the radio biz and I didn't know that "The Blaze" changed freqs. I tuned into 94-9, heard static, and thought that either something was wrong with the signal, or that they had their day and bit the dust. It never occured to me to search for them on another signal, let alone a former christian/lds music stick that was dark for 2 months!
Regardless, I think more radio groups need to take cues from the folks over at "The Blaze". Obviously, they get it! Keep goin' ROG!!

Now then.....they probably should get legal and turn the MAIN transmitter on. As far as I know you can't run the boosters without the main. Here in Evanston I guarantee you I'd hear it IF it were on. And it's not. Wonder if they've worked out problems with the bankruptcy stuff which is what forced the main to be shut off to begin with. Hrmmmmm.

97.5 has a Aux on Ensign peak, if that is on they are legal whether or not the main is on, at least this is my understanding of the rules.
Which leads me to my next comment, we now know why the bankruptcy judge was asked to terminate the lease with Simmons, I'm glad the Blaze lives on, it is by far Utah's best rock station!
Rock on Guys!

IF DARBY OWNS IT THEY ARE COPYING KBER but it just started they can improve big time give them cupple months its been less that 3 weeks and they have less talk then kber so 97.5 might go down becuase kber and 94.9 has better management skills
