Almost every market has a Skinner type.
In other St George news, any station down St George way going to fill the hole that KJUL left for adult standards? Lots of retirees down there.

RE Skinner: Sadly, yes you're right Other: 1210 has been doing nostalgia / adult standards for sometime now, don't know if it's satellite or local or a combo of the two. Even though it has a signal there don't think KJUL was much of a factor in St. George. I believe 1210 had and has the listeners (and revenue) and last time I drove by Parowan 1400 (amazingly a Skinner station come to think of it) was sitting on a Adult Standards satellite format.

And I guess everyone noted the announcement that MB Media Group headed by Jerry Johnson has sold the following Cedar City/St. George market stations: KMXM 107.3 KXBN 94.9 KXFF 92.1 KNNZ 940AM KSUB 590AM The buyer is Cherry Creek Radio based in Denver. The purchase price is $5.8M and Cherry Creek took over by way of an LMA on October 1st. Anyone heard how the change-over is going? Then to top that off, Bonneville has their 2 AM and 2 FM St. George group up for sale too!

When I was down in St. George a week & a half ago KJUL had a fairly decent signal no matter where we drove.
I thought 1210 sounded muddy.

"Unforgettable" 1210 is mostly local under Bonneville, I know that one.

And you worked for Skinner (if you can call it that) where? Logan was it?
Sorry for the delay in responding. I worked for Skinner @ 1450 KSGI in St. George not long after he bought it from Bybee/Kjar/Whipple.
Interesting conversation...thanks for the updates. I hope Wally and Brent did well. They're standup guys, they deserve it.

Can anyone tell me which salt lake radio stations are on translators down in the cedar city/st. george areas? Just curious Per radio-locator.com: Cedar City has KUER on 88.3 and 90.1 St George has KUER on 90.1, 90.5 (moving to 90.3), and 107.9 Don't see any listings for the commercial stations, though I thought at least FM100 would have one down there.

A couple of years ago Cedar City also got KUSU at 97.3 and was still on last time I drove by. KUSU also got a frequency in St. George, but I can't remember it's dial location, and don't remember hearing it last time I was in that area (but wasn't specifically looking for it). Amazingly NO FM-100 in either St. George or Cedar City. If you have a good radio in your car you can hear FM-100's translator from Frisco Peak in parts or Cedar City. FM-100 goes all the way to Kanab if you go down Highway 89, but ends at Frisco if you are going down I-15. (Yes, yes, I know....much too much time for me on the road!) KSOP gets to Panguitch, KODJ used to get to Beaver but was replaced by...I think...KZHK. KISN, now KZHT used to get in to Richfield, but I think that is gone now. And KBYU has applied for (don't know if CP's are out yet CA or James Anderson probably do know) translators that would give it coverage more in line with KUER / KUSU. Cedar City and St. George also have translators for KILA and KNPR from Vegas. St. George also has the 2 low power FM (and yes they were both still on as of a couple of weeks ago), As far as commercial stations go though the only things translated in Cedar City or St. George are stations that originate in southern Utah (Cedar City translated to St, George, St. George translated to Cedar City, etc).
