Classic country is gone from the 99.1 translator that is rebroadcasting KJMY-HD2 and KNRS-HD2. They flipped, probably within a day or two, to classic rock, referring to themselves now as 'Rock 99.1'.
Looks like an attempt to take on Arrow 103.5, but since no HD station has hit the ratings on its own and the 99.1 signal got under a point in the ratings (can't be picked up north of Salt Lake, and only about 2/3 of Utah County), it is unclear how well this will actually do

CV Radio does it full time with their Spanish language channel....95.9 HD-2 to 104.5. Think of it : HD Radio as an STL!

I was playing with my FTA Satellite dish last night, listening to Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW), and thinking, "There sure are a lot of radio formats out there, besides just Rock, Country, Spanish and religion....I wonder why stations don't try some of them on their HD2 channels?" At the time, I was listening to a three-hour program of 70's and 80's disco, with a live DJ and live phoner interviews. Later, I listened to R&B on their RNW-2 channel.
I wonder if some of those international broadcasters would allow U.S. stations to rebroadcast their programming on HD2 channels. I'm sure China Radio International (CRI) would, and THEY might even pay for it.

Since 99.1 and 106.5 have the same owner, I was not surprised that 99.1 when 99.1 again flipped so as to not compete. It now plays an Alternative format. Not my cup of tea, but those of you (if any are still monitoring this message board) who liked 105.7 in its Mountain days might want to check it out.
