Think it will happen? Last time they predicted a "storm" it kinda didn't really happen. Thoughts??

Hard to say. After two winters in Portland, today has me really depressed. I've had enough of grey skies and raining to last me for the rest of my life! If it's gonna snow, I hope it just snows and gets it over with so we can get blue skies, dry roads, and 45+ degrees back, so I can pretend I'm in a colder version of Los Angeles.
I think we may see some snow tonight, but nothing that's gonna stick long - maybe overnight, and melt tommorrow.

As of around noon, here in Riverton, it's been snowing pretty heavily with some stickage on the ground, not the roads yet.

We got a little snow down here in Utah County at the moment - I bet it'll be gone b7y moning. It's not very deep.

Be thankful you weren't in Weber or North Davis. In mid-afternoon it was a small disaster area. Very slippery roads, bad visibility and overall poor conditions. It cleared up in the evening and is mostly ok now. The afternoon update from the NWS says the northern Wasatch is going to get pounded overnight, but that was last updated around 4PM. Radar isn't showing anything of consequence inbound so I'm not sure. Then again, after hearing about how much Seattle got creamed I'm watching the skies.

Obviously, the plows don't run before 6:30am here. My commute from American Fork to Riverton was crazy. And no plows in sight.

Beg to differ. This is so friggin cold! I would like just more snow and it stay around a bit so that the next snow can pile up on the existing snow. Utah is weird like that.

You'd be singing a different tune when it's 115 degrees and 90% humidity in August I'll bet...

Sacramento was hell! I hated that area and I had to suffer through almost 4 years of that. It was relentless from about april to september!

Not that california ... the nice temporate part - like San Diego or LA. Of course, there's traffic and unaffordable homes, and entire cities taken over by crime..... but it's 55 degrees right now!

I love the snow! Great skiing and I look forward to it every year!
BUT I wish it would rain and snow at the same time, at least the rain would keep the air from that gunk we get in the valleys every year. That haze is terrible. It makes things colder than it should be and after a while I can even taste it. It can't be good for people to have that 24/7 for weeks and weeks at a time.
I wouldn't want to live in Cali because they have fires constantly and I would be afraid for my property. If the fire doesn't get ya, a mudslide after the fact, could.
