Just when I thought the big media companies had reached the limits of stupidity they manage to surprise me.
Most of you have probably heard of the Bittorrent method of peer to per file sharing. Mostly it's used to pirate material, but now there's a legal service that's starting. They're selling individual TV shows for $2 each, complete with DRM (digital rights management, aka copy-protection). Here's the funny part. DVD's of the same material cost the same or even less than the crippled online downloadable versions.
What are these guys smoking?
