Notice the qualifer that is listed for the KSL website. The sample size is so small that it "did not meet minimum sample size standards. Combined home and work audience estimates for these sites may exhibit increased variability month-to-month as a result." To me, this caveat implies that they do not expect KSL to always rank this high.
The sample size shown was the smallest of any of the websites listed. So it is possible that during the period of the survey, there was some huge developing news story happening in Salt Lake City that caused people to check back with the site often, thus skewing the results from what they would have been otherwise.
Since the survey was taken in February, perhaps the high ranking was caused by people going to the KSL website for information about President Hinckley's funeral on 2 Feb 2008 and the press conference with President Monson on 4 Feb 2008. Any other suggestions for big news stories during that month?
