So I'm listening to The End this afternoon. Up pops R.E.M. "This One Goes Out to the One I Love" (or whatever the real name of the song is.) I don't like R.E.M., so I flip the station to KJQ. Guess what they're playing?
Same da.mn song.
Even worse, the KJQ copy was behind the copy on The End by about 5 seconds or so. I decide that if I keep flipping around, I'll probably never get to another song, so I just leave it. <g>
I've heard of this phenomenon in TV advertising (buy the same time slot on several networks so you still see it even if you channel surf), but this is the first time I've heard about it with a radio song.
