Again.. it will not be owned, run, or in any way affiliated with Clear Channel. Not nitpicking... just disagreeing. I hate it when people take something I say, and just for the sake of argument, they nitpick about the smallest comment. I meant under the Clear Channel company roof, not the actual building! It's called using "metaphores." Go finish up your Hooked On Phonics lesson for the day and learn what that means. ..........................Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ!

FYI... Radio Disney will be based out of the CC building. Look for the ABC programming staff to move into the Mercury side.

Staff?
STAFF?
STAFF!?
Yeah, I guess they need a closet for the 3 people who'll handle it. Ok, maybe 4.

Are you kidding? 2 could run it. Hell, that's what they're doing to KOSY and KCPX on that side of the building. Let the truth be heard, while you may think it takes several peopl to keep it running, that is not so. MaCain and Walsh are living proof that you don't need more then three people, or hardly any talent at that, to run a station.

I was being generous. I figure 1 traffic manager, one "sales guy" to try to drum up some local sales (they do have a few local avails, right?) one weekday engineer (handles the sat dish, computer, transmitter, etc.) and one weekend engineer (same). Toss the local avails and put the engineer on 24 hour call and you've got a one man band.

Hello there. Just read this thread, though I'd like to say a bit of what I was made aware of if you don't mind. As for K102 being called "Today's Country and the Classics" may I point you to www.k102.com, in Minneapolis-St. Paul (KEEY), which incidently is the jingle series that is used on the Bull. Anyway, K102 originally was pushing "12-in-a-Row Country" as their premier slogan, but from what I understand they changed it so it's unison with the other K102, if they decide to ever share programming. If I'm not mistaken one of the DJs is voicetracked from KEEY. Correct me if I'm wrong. Second, KSOP did has a bit of foreknowlege of 700's demise. Do you remember the story I reported clear back into 2001? The info I got was from a guy at KSOP. He basically said that at their station meeting, they had learned that 700 was going to discontinue it's country. The belief at the time was that KNRS would move to 700 so it could share nighttime programming with KWLW, creating a super coverage area for "Trukin' Bozo," who is on 700 WLW. I still believe that that may become the case with KALL 700. The part of the rumor that they had incorrect was that 700 would move to 570 until a new format could be decided upon for 570. I seriously believe that the Disney deal goes clear back to 2001. Clear Channel has something figured out, that they hope will bring them more revenue, which I understand it a bit tight right now, (for the pas few years). Anyway, this is what I know. Thanks R Sanders Utah Radio Guide www.utradioguide.com
