I think 1010 KIQ is gaining a lot of listeners now that the war started. I see many people tuning in to hear CNN, including me. Any thoughts?

If I wanted a war update, its likely I would tune to KSL only because it is known for coverage, and I appreciate local people actually doing their jobs (versus 1010 KIQ).... I haven't ever really listened to KNRS. I probably would if their slogan was still "K-News" instead of "Family Values Talk Radio" because frankly some of those people don't agree with my family values, lol.
I mostly listen to Citadel stations, so I've been hearing their CNN updates off and on. Simmons also seems to be using CBS, but not on KJQ.
If I really want escape, I just tune into Millcreek stations, since they're not doing anything!

For over a year now I've been getting my national news from Headline News on KIQ. I'm just continuing what I've been doing. Admittedly, sometimes it gets annoying with 'TV without pictures'. ("As you can see here....' What is it?!?!?)
As I think I've said before, an all news station mixing a national feed like HN with a local feed like the KSL afternon news would be a great thing. Half hour of one, then a half hour of the other, you see.

I mostly listen for war coverage to KCPW/KUER since they have long-form reporting that the other stations do not have. If there is a story on there that is not of interest to me, then I will check out KSL, which has lately been running updates every ten minutes. However, if it is nine minutes until the next update, then I will see what KIQN is broadcasting.

Kind of funny that no one has voted for KSL, and it happens to be the 2nd highest station in the valley. Interesting...

I agree with Sam "Family Value Radio" what a piss poor slogan! How many families sit around and listen to KNRS? Bring back the K-News slogan and focus again on NEWS!! I am not anti anything but it seems to me Clear Channel has ruined this station along with a lot of stations Clear Channel own. I'm not a member but I would vote for KIQ 1010 for coverage.

I'm going to have to jump on the KNRS bandwagon and say they do a great job and have been right on the ball with the other stations on breaking news. Their coverage of the Smart case right into war the next week was totally up to the minute, and their morning news really is under-rated.
