I liked it better when the radio discussion board was more simple and not seperated by metro, non-metro, but that's just me

I do agree with you in part, and dissent in part.
The dissent is that on the main board we've discussed some of the Saint George, etc., stations but their threads get lost in the shuffle.
The other reason is that Utah is a funny animal. It's not like California, although you could run a board in California and have a couple of dozen area boards, but that's different than here where you have either the Wasatch Front stations or everything else.
The agreement is that there are some issues that affect both boards, such as translators, ownership, programming, etc., but yet they are two different animals altogether otherwise.

True. Would a post about say 106.1 Evanston go in the metro, or outside the metro?

That IS a good question Henry. I'd say "in" if its about what's to come, and "out" if its about the current KEVA simulcast.
Also, I like the separate board to perhaps keep Logan, Price, St. George/Cedar City, etc. threads from getting lost amongst the SLC-Ogden-Provo.

Well that makes me feel like I've all of a sudden been banished to my own playpen I'm not in the metro. Like my 'airchecks wanted' thread.......where would that go? Is it off-topic? Is it 'in the metro' since it's metro stations I wanted airchecks of? confused and felt like I've been sent to my room and told not to come back I feel like I'm not in the metro so my 2 cents worth probably isn't worth the 2 cents. hrmmm Michael n WYO

I'll have to see what Dspete thinks, but Evanstan is so close to the metro, that it could go in the "In the Metro" section. Logan arguably could too.
This board is mainly for St.George, Cedar, Beaver, Moab, Delta, etc.

Ah....did I miss that the first time around? I mean the forum titles are now more descriptive on the main page.....they mention the towns, cities, etc. I don't remember seeing that earlier today.

This board is mainly for St.George, Cedar, Beaver, Moab, Delta, etc. I disagree, Logan is NOT Metro nor is Evanston (no offence Michael), just because of KOTB or KVFX, if that were true you could add Price because of KNJQ (which is Manti) or Richfield since they have a translator for KLGL in Provo and KCYQ gets into Utah County as well, and possible soon so will KMGR Delta Once again that's just my opinion

Ehhhhh. There's grey area with KOTB and KVFX, among others. Current KOTB is definitely non metro. Future KOTB is metro, in my opinion, since it's very audible in SLC/Ogden/Provo and is targetted at those areas. VFX is less clear, but they do have 106.3 (such as it is), 98.3 and 104.7 that are being broadcast to the Wasatch. Same with the translators of out of state broadcasters.
Just my opinion. I'll read all the boards anyway, even if I can't comment on them.

I liked it better when the radio discussion board was more simple and not seperated by metro, non-metro, but that's just me I agree. Threads come and go as the subject's interest fades (or gets hot again!). I don't think where they start is the driving force. If a thread gets "lost" I'd say it is because the interest in it has faded. Natural order if you will...just in my opinion.
