Interesting story. I didn't know stations in bankruptcy did that. Is this the beginning of the dissolving of the company?
As for changing the format, I don't see why at this point. A receiver (in the bankruptcy sense) isn't really concerened with marketing the station. They're just holding the ship together until a buyer comes along. The Headline News format is easy to maintain, so why put effort into it? Just keep the satellite dish aimed, the STL up and the transmitter on the air and everything else pretty much handles itself. I could be wrong, of course.

I'm going to throw off on the editor's comment about ABC and Radio Disney. . . I don't know why they didn't buy KIQN 1010, but I guess its possible they honestly didn't know it was in the market- it is licensed to Tooele, remember?
I'm wondering, will ABC LMA it to someone to sell advertising for them? That hasn't been discussed yet, but they would still be in control of content- so I guess AM 910 could remain in the CC building. . . with an LMA to Mercury or CC for sales.
Also, Clear Channel is a very high profile co. whereas who even knows how to contact Intelliquest (or maybe they didn't want to be in a court bidding war later).
