I'll try to explain this as much as possible, without going into specifics. Of course, I'm just a friend through business and I could be totally off.
Its been my understanding that for the poast year, Mike's health has really caught up to him. Just like everyone else, he gets sick and ill and has to take time off. A more recent health problem took him out of the office for a little longer then he would have liked to be out. With that said, I'm assuming he left while he was still in decent health.
Nothing bad happened! I don't think this is another "Artie" thread. The guy just decided to leave on his own accord for whatever reason we don't know yet, but I'm placing bets on health. In my opinion, they guy is one of the most briliant, honest, and kind men I've ever had the privlage of meeting. And I'll ,miss hearing him on the air.

I honestly don't know Mike on a personal level, but you hate to here he had to leave due to health. Send him my best wishes, and I hope his health does improve.

I have it almost from "the horses mouth". Mike did not leave X because of health issues. At least not directly. Mike is a great guy and a great programmer. One of Salt Lake's very BEST!!! Mayber ever.
And that's all I've got to say about that.

What a shame, Mike Summers was one of the best. I have been listening to Mike for close to 20 years and Im very sorry to see him go. Nobody knew music like Mike, and he was the one responsible for turning X96 into the power house that it was. I say was because now he's gone. I have a feeling it's going to fall apart no matter who they put in there.

Todd "Nuke'Em" Noker is taking over for the time being before a final decision is made on who it will be.

Helmut: Jacobs Media just signed on as their consultancy. They used to consult Star back when it competed with The End.
