Looks like, according to some other sites, KADD/Laughlin made the move, and are now in Logandale, NV.
It looks like they will be able to hit St. George just barely with a good Grade B signal. Their COL is now Logandale NV. They are close enough, but due to the mountains in the way, that is what is torpedoing the signal, I would not be surprised to see, if they are eligible to do this, put in a booster to hit St. George.
They are airing a hot-AC format. The 93.5 frequency was vacated by KSNN to allow for this move. It also allowed another completely new station to start in the same area they just left.
I thought I'd add some info here since I just passed through this area last week and I've been following these stations closely. I spend time in the Kingman AZ area from time to time as my folks have a home down there.....spring break was one of those times. My wife and I listened to KADD almost exclusively while down there in the past. KADD's studios were located in Lake Havasu City and they have a translator there and a translator in Kingman, while the main covered Bullhead City/Laughlin. Format is HOT AC and they ran ABC Radio's Hot AC satellite format. When we were there over spring break we discovered that KADD is indeed off the air there. The parent company had said they'd move the format to a new station - KVAL licensed to Cal-Nev-Ari, NV. That station is only 100 watts and is purched high atop a peak near Christmas Tree Pass overlooking Cal-Nev-Ari, Searchlight, (NV) and Laughlin / Bullhead City (AZ). That one's on. They are runnning the HOT AC format on that station now. Same satellite network, same imaging (K-hits). The tried re-tuning the Kingman translator to 104.9 to pick it up, however it's got interference in it from a local Kingman translator that's broadcasting at 104.9. Meanwhile I am sure the Lake Havasu translator has been successfully re-tuned, and meanwhile the main at 104.9 is covering Laughlin/Bullhead fine. Now.....onto KADD. No, it is not on. I checked repeatedly....93.5 is just an open frequency. Radio-Locator tries to compensate but sometimes doesn't do a very good job. If you check the FCC under KADD you will find the REAL story - which is another Humpy. They are burying the transmitter in the southern nevada mountains so that they may put a booster in Las Vegas. I think the application already shows for KADD-1. In my opinion and having been through the area dozens of times, no I truly don't believe this station is gonna hit St George. Way too many tall mountains in between. St George is kinda in a bowl there, sheilded from outside signals other than a few stations like KREC that have their transmitter on the edge of the mountains near Cedar so they hit St George from that side. Hence, it's gonna be a Vegas rimshot, not a St George rimshot. Will be down there again possibly for memorial day and/or the 4th of July so I'll keep you all posted.
