Yes, that's right. The one smiling blonde from Fox that we could tolerate is back, and she's found a less abusive station!
The copy of the memo I received says McKay will start her new job at KUTV on Friday November 4th, taking over the job Kelly Chapman currently does on the AM show, as Kelly moves on to do traffic. For weeks the station had been plugging her before she was under contract. Now that she's tossed her name on the dotted line, ads with her in them are in full rotation int he 2News commercial line.
McKay left KSTU siting management problems, payroll isues, and the promotion of other female talent above her. She left for Sacromento (i know it's spelled wrong -- we need a spell check option) to start an anchor job, but was reduced to field reporter. Expressing interest in wanting to come back, KUTV was apt to open the door for her return.
To my knowledge, McKay is the first reporter from KSTU in close to 5 years to return to a SLC station as a reporter.

Your information from KUTV is correct; however your information about Allie & KSTU is wrong. She left for Sac-town to do exactly what she did there; be a live reporter for a PM entertainment show. She has never wanted to Anchor. Also, KUTV hunted her down to bring her back, and it took many offers and conversations to make the deal work out.

Hey man I post what I get told. I was told she pretty much gave KSTU the finger coming back.

I'll tell you, the funniest thing about this is watching Kelly Chapman act happy about being moved to traffic and on location weather forecasts.
It seems like a good move for KUTV - but I can't stand any of the "gonzo" morning reporters anyway. Kelly's main phrase was "come on you guys," while **** is perhaps the un-funniest person on TV (that's if you exclude Kelly Chapman).

Oh heaven forbid... she's back. It was okay when she was on Fox, because she fit that personality; but not on any station that wants credibility. Maaaaaybe they could throw her on the morning show, but all she's doing at night is forcing people to pick up the remote.
***By the way, on the "Allie's back" commercials did it sound like they were singing "Allie's fat"?
