Since you brought it up........ Am I the only one who's a little disturbed by the amount of attention that's given to college football in general? It's definitely not a Utah thing; it's that way all over the country. I'm not opposed to college football (or any college sport for that matter) but to me college is about getting an education and learning something. Making colleges the equivalent of the minor leagues for football is a bad thing IMO. All sports are invading the universe! There's always a game of some sort on the television.... and how many versions of ESPN are there? I've lost count. Sports have been a part of college and so on since the beginning of time, but it's sad to see the emphasis and stress the athletics programs are to colleges. What's next? High schools? It's somewhat starting there too, with these players coming right out of high schools. Oh! And the little league baseball on ESPN.... we're corrputing them younger and younger. Let's start an ESPN 2-Young Channel. It'll be the talk of the town.
