Not that I watch FOX13, but just to be fair, have at 'em. No talent and too much hairspray....

Too much focus on stories they feel are interesting to them because of shows they run and sponsors they have. No one gives a good **** about Utah's American Idol. No one from the state is Utah will ever win that contest because no one from Utah will sell their soul for a record deal that will go nowhere. Plus, no one gives a **** about 9PM news. We're all glad you have a gimmick, and your news is on an hour early so you can milk other news network's ratings with reruns of The Simpsons. But when the majority of your news is fluf, it's really not worth watching. But hey, what do I know. I just read ratings charts that show your newscast losing to shows over the past year that weren't that great to begin with. It's one thing to lose to something like Law & Order, it's another to lose to Kingdom Hospital (which wasn't that good at all, plus got canned and even put on hiatus for 2 months).

A one-hour newscast is just too much.
And, if you missed reading the Trib and Des News in the morning - you can see almost every interesting story in the evening on Fox 13.
Too many "stories" on programs they run. And I agree, too much emphasis on Utahns involved in their reality shows.
Hope Woodside is a pro, and Max Roth is good, but everyone else is very sub-par.

Oh, and the last time I was over there, I quickly discovered most of the sports casters are sexist. Mainly Rungee.

No to mention that their idea for real news at times doesn't even come close... I have on several occasions watched Fox then one of the other stations and Fox fails to report some top story. That or they spread the story across 3 different segments
Fox is simply infotainment and seems to desire to be utah's answer to Entertainment Tonight or the like

Just be glad they don't do WSVN type news. Most of that newscast is sensationalist and titulating in the extreme.
But that's South Florida.

I think that Fox 13 does a great job, I like the fact that I can get my news an hour before the rest. although I do like to watch 2 news. both stations do a good job. 2news is very pro. ;D
