I like the weather-lady, Lindsay Storrs, I've seen weekends and fill-in afternoons on Channel 2 (and think they should swap the her for the evening guy). My favorite weather people are between her and Dan Pope.

Channel 2 made a mistake when they rehired Roland Stedham, in my opinion

I agree. He's too cheesy -------> ( ;D ) <---------- I can't get the weather report over the glare from his teeth.
But really, don't you think it would be hard to be a weather person, in front of a green screen and all? My favorite weather report was at Halloween when Sterling Poulson's body was chroma-keyed and he appeared to be just a bobbing head. hehehe.

No has or ever will top Mark Eubank. Don't agree? Just look at the SLC market and go back as far as you want and to all the stations. Where did they are get their training??? Granted the training can't make them equal to Mark. Now that's influence. Speaks for itself.
Pope 4 = from Eubank at 2 Little Eubank 2 = from Eubank growing up Brough 4 = from Eubank 2 Poulson 2 = from Eubank at 2 Steadham 2 = from Eubank at 2 Norton 5 = Eubank at 5
and that's just currently, with the exception of Little Eubank.
Now go historical...
Root 2(Weatherbank) = from Eubank at 2 Jenkins 2 = from Eubank at 2 Neilsen 2/5 = from Eubank at 2

Cool--I remember first seeing her and she was so thin I thought my hi def was not calibrated or whatever you do to have the picture fit the wide screen....then she filled in a bit and then got heavy with child. Hope she and baby is doing well and she comes back soon. Seee---I can be nice.

I don't believe Clayton Brough ever worked at KUTV. And I don't think Kent Norton learned much from Eubank. Norton has done the weekend weather at 5 since 1972. He was at 5 for almost 20 years before Eubank made the switch. He is also an attorney during the week.

Sorry, nice try. Clayton Brough worked at WeatherBank Inc., and KUTV, when Mark owned it. Clayton was there 1978-1980. www.utahweather.org/brough_education_&_experience.htmlAlso, you can find a book collaboration with Brough and Pope when they both were over there at WeatherBank and KUTV. Again, to competitors with ties to Eubank. You are, however, somewhat right about Kent Norton. He has always been at 5 since 1973. But NOT being a meteorologist and ONLY a practicing atty, he has learned from the best. Just being around Mark Eubank with his enthusiasm and you can learn from him. You can't tell me he hasn't.

I watched a Steadham forcast the other day and he was showing a satellite image of the western US and he litterally said:
"...and over here is Utah" circleling his hand.
Then in the same weather cast he said:
"...and this is the Great Salt Lake"
He seemed so proud that he actually knew what they were.
I just can't take him too seriously. Any weather guy that would name one of his kids Storm and nickname him the "Storminator" loses all credibility.
I really enjoy 2 news but Roland and his poofy hair just has to go.
Memo to RS: Uh, Roland the 80's was 20 years ago. Sell your stock in Aquanet and move on.
I'm really expecting him to show up in a skinny piano tie and acid wash jeans.

I think Roland thinks everyone here is too stupid to know anything, that's why he never gets past his summery, he thinks we are too stupid to know where the Salt Lake is and too moronic to handle a full forecast, the man's an idiot
