Sandy What kind of action on KOTB did you see? Where did you see it? I might be able to decipher it for ya. I'm curious myself since KOTB is me. Michael n WYO

Do you think they are looking for a summer completion for the move in to the wasatch front?

Good question. KPKK is probably close. I wouldn't be surprised if they're planning on both of them at the same time to maximize efficiency.

Now if I am correct? KWKD is also planning on moving to the same tower now 3 stations will share this tower if I'm correct? KWKD is picked up along he Wasatch Front with boosters KPKK has applied for boosters in the area so it can be picked up NOW what about KOTB have they applied for boosters because without them I doubt you will be able to pick up KOTB down here or it will be very weak. Just like KMXU out of Manti it has boosters in the Provo area and with out them the signal would be very weak in that part of Utah County. Will the FCC allow a booster in the Salt Lake area for a Wyoming station?

It's more like KOTB and KPKK are being added to the tower where KWKD has been for some time. And yes, you can count on KOTB requesting boosters. KWKD and KPKK are/will-be both running the same power from virtually the same height from the same location. KOTB will be from the same location at about the same height with a higher power.

I think the picture is starting to get more focused here. Simmons buys some of Devines stations and makes some format switches like HOT 92.1 Today's Favorites or something and KUDD becomes Salt Lake's New Soft Rock Favorites and Bam a KOTB moves in with The Beat 106.1 and KMDG 103.9 translator approval pending becomes the New Power Hits 103.9 and so-on this is going to be good now the hardest part the waiting and the FCC ownership ruling

I know the tower location for KOTB and KPKK all looks all too familiar.....looks like the same location where KWKD already is. I think y'all are right on that one. Formats? No clue. No clue on time frame either. We were just wondering, that's all. I will keep all of y'all posted. I know that when marathon IS ready to go with the new KOTB translator they're going to be calling here telling us to shut down the current transmitter and that they are taking it over. So as soon as we hear something from them I'll let y'all know. We'll be the first to know.

I don't think they're going to move it all that soon. I don't even see any applications on file for the obligatory boosters in Ogden/SLC/Provo, let alone having them approved.
Is there any reason to think there won't be boosters? I know the power for the new KOTB (100kw) is higher than KWKD (89kw) or KPKK (89kw h / 38kw v).
