This is driving me nuts....and I can't find it in my Whitburn's either. Maybe someone remembers this one.... Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to go to www.reelradio.com/ram/beg2.ram?rdsktnq011077.rm~0:00.0~01:16:21.5Scan in to the 26:00 point and take a listen to the saxphone/guitar saturated selection. You tell me. Reminds me of KISS, the Sweet and Randy Newman all rolled into one. You'd think I'd remember this song since Ten-Q was the station to listen to in L.A. in 1977..... Friend Lee

Well, that link should have taken you right to the correct audio file......soooooo let's see, it's the "Real Don Steele" KTNQ aircheck from 10 Jan 1977.
Now back to the countdown.....

Ahh......a cart machine brain in a hard drive world. As I sometimes say "you can't get there from here". Go to the Reelradio.com collections website at www.reelradio.com/collections.html and go to the Real Don Steele collection - about 3/4's of the way down the list. After laoding the Real Don Steele page, scroll down to the KTNQ - January 10, 1977 selection and klicken-zee. If all goeth well, it will load up and you can then fast forward to 26:00 minutes in and give the memory banks a real test. Hope this helps, sorry for the confusion! Friend Lee

Actually, it's the original version by Mott The Hoople, from '73.

I thought it sounded like Mott the Hoople but since it didn't show up in my Whitburn's....so I was right, I just didn't know it!
Thanks to all who participated...there is green Jello with shredded carrots topped with grated cheddar cheese in the cultural hall for all of you (a North Logan delicacy - but we don't eat food like that in Hyrum!)
