I logged on to MyFoxUtah.com today to look for some of the American Idol clips from last night (just because it was the Utah Auditions!! Honestly.) I noticed that the web address now is www.fox13now.com instead of the MyFoxUtah.com that it has been. And the "Fox13 Now" is branded all over their website. Don't know if this is a recent change, but I do remember the big push to brand the "My Fox Utah".... wonder why the change? I do have to say that their website seems to be getting better, with more information and streaming, than what they've had in the past.

Fox sold the station a while ago. So 13 lost its affiliation. Based on the other sites I've seen in the Fox family, that's not a bad thing. The Fox O&O websites are not very good. So any changes are probably an improvement.

They launched fox13now.com either Monday or Tuesday at 10 am. They said it was because that their last website was confusing. which i agree on. to much crap on it. anyway so yes it is brand new!

Um, doesn't seem like it "lost its affiliation." They're still Fox, still playing the national stuff, so that would mean they're still affiliated. Just like KSL was never owned by NBC, but they are still indeed NBC-affiliated.
Ummm...RIGHT? Yeah...

I meant it's no longer an O&O. Corrected.

I meant it's no longer an O&O. Corrected. Thanks. Okay, now... what's an O&O? I mean what does that stand for? Mike

It's "owned and operated." Networks can "own and operate" the station itself. You end up with "o and O's" in market and affiliates, owned by a private group but running under the flag of a specific network.

And if I never hear and see the Fox 13 promo,"Just you watch the best!" ever again, it will be a millenia too soon. That is one of the worst, poorly conceived themes that ever escaped the marketing department's conference room meeting.
