KCBU/Price and KUTF/Logan have been sold. The bankruptcy court (Previous owners went belly-up) cleared the sale and these have now been cleared by the FCC.
DIGITAL TV APPLICATIONS FOR ASSIGNMENT OF LICENSE GRANTED ---------------------------------------------------------
UT BALCDT-20090501AAT KCBU 84277 PRICE BROADCASTING, INC., DEBTOR IN POSSESSION Voluntary Assignment of License, E CHAN-11 PRICE, UT as amended From: PRICE BROADCASTING, INC., DEBTOR IN POSSESSION To: WORD OF GOD FELLOWSHIP, INC. Form 314 Word of God Fellowship is a large national religious broadcaster who has a lot a properties in a number of markets, largely full-power TVs.
I also learned that the RTN Network programming that KCBU ran for almost its full life, was from Arkansas, it was never a local 'faux' network as some thought it was. That assumption may have come from how hodgepodge the programming was in the first place, plus some production issues on the network spots, etc. UT BALCT-20090501AAQ KUTF 69694 LOGAN 12, INC., DEBTOR IN POSSESSION Voluntary Assignment of License, E CHAN-12 LOGAN, UT as amended From: LOGAN 12, INC., DEBTOR IN POSSESSION To: WORD OF GOD FELLOWSHIP, INC. Form 314 That means we lose Telefutura in the market on a full-power signal. The possibility of an LPTV picking it up is there, although that would mean it would not be available to satellite dish subs because they don't put -CA's and -LPs or even translators on the birds.
