Didn't have room in the subject line to adequately state what happened, but here is what I could tell. SLC TV is a company that provides industrial communications links between KUTV and other parties in the process of preparing programming, likely news-related based on how many of these links are involved, and I'm not even sure what they were used for, but they failed to file a timely renewal application for three of them and have now lost all three and have to start from scratch. In the meantime, KUTV is impaired because of the loss of these frequencies, so that may have impacted such things as the news chopper maybe? Anyone know for sure what the stations in this FCC document were used for? hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-09-2009A1.pdf

They are 23 GHz Digital fixed-links from the Delta Center, Foothill Village and Simmons Media radio studios. They are probably used for cooking shows and news updates, etc.
Since they are Business Radio licenses, they probably don't travel from owner to owner, like Broadcast Auxiliary licenses, so they got lost, somehow.
