According to the Television Bureau of Advertising 39.2% of the SLC market does NOT subscribe to cable. You add satelite into the mix and that number rises to 47.2%. Apparently the number of non-cable subscribers is growing and they are warning advertisers to beware. I would urge all of you to support your local TV stations (and watch their ads) but do not support the greed of the cable company. Free TV is good TV. Neflix ($9/month) and official websites also help me catch up on the small handful of shows that I would actually want to watch from a cable channel.

Ive been a long time hater of Comcast, they are a monopoly, they are greedy, have only there own wallet in mind, do not have any care whatsoever what their customers want, or like, they do not have friendly customer service, or helpful, and there constant manipulation of there presumed over rated sports channels(Mountain, and Versus)with the satellite company's, all show me they are on a slow decline to destruction, I don't care for free TV either, just cause it seems like that box has 30 channels of absolutely nothing, I love C-Band and am very happy with Direct, but would also buy Dish and have them both if it meant running Comcast out of business, Oh and one of the most nauseating, stomach turning things Ive ever had, was trying to watch Headline News when they would be coming back from break with a story you'd be waiting for , and instead Comcast would break in with their absolutely irrelevant and non wanted Comcast People in the News, with that idiot white haired bag, like anybody cares or watches that, its disgusting.

After 10 years of free tv, and one year of Hulu, I've finally just purchased cable. It was a pretty good deal (for a year). I've loved watching programing on my tv rather than on my laptop. DVR'ing is VERY COOL. I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. Sure the very first month there was a problem with the bill and I was overcharged by $25. But they assured me that it was a mistake and it wouldn't happen again. It shouldn't right?

Dude, they cant even sign a contract and stick to it, how many other company's screw up the billing the first bill? none cause it's a f=ing contract, have you ever seen direct TV's commercial where they play the game show "Jack My Price Up,"? dude after your little trial is up, you better cancel that crap right away, when I was with them, they started raising my bill $2.30 a service, that was the 3 service bundle, as soon as my contract ran out after 6 months, my total went from about $70 a month to about $149, then when I finally told them to Axe it they sent me a bill for $298 dollars, this was after I had canceled them and got direct TV, they tried explaining all this bull st about how I owed a rounded fee from the point of contract expiration, and that If I wanted to avoid that fee, I signed in the contract that I would notify them before the contract was up so they would know to cancel it on the expiration date, some big****line of horse st, I was furious, if their INTERNET wasn't the only way to go, id let them know what I thought of them! don't do it bro, get out while you can!1 plus their Hi-Def looked like absolute garbage on TV???

So the second monthly cable came and do you think it was correct? Somehow my billing cycle has now changed, and while my electronic payment was received on time, I was still charged a late fee, as if I was late. Also there is an outstanding credit that still has not been applied. Of course I was told by the nice customer service person, that the bill should be correct next month. I'm not sure I believe her.
