The Holiday period PPM's have been released. AQH Shares, shows November, December, and the 'Holiday' period. Some interesting surprises show as well, including the apparent flop of 'Freedom 570' and KRCL's not being able to get an audience for its new format (May 2008 flip from community/variety to rock). www.radiodailynews.com/1-29-10-saltlake.htmSame, with both AQH percent share, and cume figures for both November and the Holiday period. I suspected that the "bump" in KRCL's ratings, that showed up in a ratings book later last year, was some kind of an anomaly. It's too BAD* that they can't get something consistently interesting and listenable going with that station. There are a number of successful and nationally relevant music stations around the country operating under the public radio model (KEXP, KCRW, etc.). KRCL could be one of them. But, that door might be closing soon. It's my understanding that KRCL will lose their Federal funding if they can't improve in their ratings. When is that deadline coming?
*pun intended
