Yeah, what's going on with that? I wish I had known the exact time those switches were going to happen, because I always want to hear what they're like--the sign-off by the last DJ, any other special sound bites, and the switch as one plays its last song/talk and as the new one plays its first song/talk.
Anyone know where I might find recordings of these moments?

According to Tom Taylor: Salt Lake’s “Country Legends” KKAT-FM is suddenly doing “K-Love.”
In mid-2008, Citadel had to place KKAT into the Wasatch Trust run by Scott Knoblauch because of a very odd twist. Now the Trust has apparently knocked off classic country KKAT, Orem, Utah (107.5) and it’s been replaced by a feed of the non-commercial Christian contemporary K-Love out of Rocklin, California. The splash page on the website says “Country Legends 107.5 is currently off the air and is under new ownership.” (Nothing at the FCC yet about a transfer.) You're advised to “Tune into our sister station K-Bull 93 [KUBL] for all of your country needs.” The oddity that caused Citadel to take back an FM it didn’t want was a loan default by 3 Point Media. Citadel had guaranteed the loan to lender Wachovia. That forced rock KHTB (94.9) back into the hands of Citadel, which then would’ve been over the FCC’s local ownership limits. Thus the creation of the Wasatch Trust for an existing Citadel FM – and now a change to K-Love and possibly an outright sale.

Anyone know where I might find recordings of these moments? I wouldn't count on it. Knowing Clear Channel and Citadel, they probably just flipped a switch. County Joe is the only actual "DJ" there, with all the others just pre-recording throughout the day for multiple assignments. For them, it's just one less station to voice track. BTW Max, do you also post on SSP? If so, it's interesting to see my two internet worlds collide.
