Air1, the companion network to K-Love, has hit the air in Salt Lake, should last only until the catfight over a new station that may broadcast from around the Humphreys Peak area, is resolved. That one will be on either 89.5 or 89.7 depending on who is the eventual winner.
This comes after K-Love takes over 107.5 making it the first full-markiet CCM ever in this area (KOAY was a rimshot and the signal didn't hit everything like KKAT/KNKL can), and K-Love is often considered Christian AC, but the sound is more along the lines of a hot-AC. that meant that this one was able to be switched over, and this brings Air1's Christian CHR format to primarily Salt Lake and maybe parts of northern Utah, south Davis, along with much of the populated area of Tooele County, etc.
