Looks like we have two stations coming on the back side of the Wasatch Front.
89.5 is apparently going to Silver Fish Broadcasting, the FCC just denied the other applicant on grounds their selected transmitter site will not be available, being in National Forest land, etc. The other applicant was Oscar Aguero Ministries on 89.7. In fact, the COL would not have been covered by that applicant's proposed facilities, along with the transmitter site issue.
So the Oakley applicant, Silver Fish Broadcasting, will build probably on Humphreys but won't even hit Evanston but barely hit Park City with its city grade contour.
Settled with this was 89.7 in Evanston, the University of Wyoming gets that one, and it comes into Utah as far as Woodruff to the west and the state line on the south. Interestingly, the FCC left an overlap of signals with the Silver Fish application in the sp****ly populated area of SW Wyoming and so that will be interesting, given the UW's plan to put HD2 and HD3 programming on the station, one being Classical Wyoming, which is actually Classical 24.
This means that KBYU's translator is safe, and the new Air1 translator (used to be used by K-Love) is also safe. Both will not be displaced.
