Going the milquetoast route, I suppose. Color me unimpressed. From the press release:
Rod Arquette joins the biggest names in talk radio, including Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Dave Ramsey and George Noory. And, this October, The Sean Hannity Show joins the 105.7 KNRS line-up, airing live weekdays 1pm-4pm.
The Rod Arquette Show replaces the current repeat of The Glenn Beck Program. Beck's popular program moved to the 6am-10am slot in late June. As-of August 2nd, Glenn Beck will be heard exclusively in morning drive on 105.7 KNRS.
Full press release at KNRS's website.

Looked up some stuff on the ratings page on radio-info.com on his last gig, Seattle, and found that the station he worked for, KIRO, was only doing 3.8 with just under 390,000 cume, tied in AQH with NPR affiliate KUOW. The sports side, which is more likely what he may have done, only pulled less in cume, about 250K, but did nearly as well in the book.
KTTH which runs programming that is more conservative, only got the same amount as KIRO AM, and KOMO which is all-news is breathing down their necks.
The smooth jazz station cumes nearly 100K more than KIRO-FM even.
I'm wondering if he's also gunning for management stripes at KNRS as well given he was also in management in KSL before he left for similar positions in Seattle? Regardless of what happens, we're about to see a very good N/T format war here, since the acrive rock war ended with the flinching of KZZQ, leaving KHTB the real winner there, we've not had a good format battle in the market.

I hadn't realized dr Laura was getting dumped. Good riddance. KSL it's your move. Please bring us something local, not sports that will bring us back.

Laura told Larry King she is hanging it up. So I guess 570 will be looking for someone else for that slot.
