The October period PPMs were released today. KSL vaulted back to the top. Two full points and the cume jumped 140,000. Most of the rating period was with the new lineup. In contrast KNRS moved very little. Slow and steady, just over 4 now but no sizable gains because they picked up KSL's prior afternoon marquee program. An interesting thing is that KKAT-FM as K-Love shows a 2.1 rating. However, this still does not count KNKL (no 'simulcast' button on this page below). I would not be surprised if we eventually find out this simulcaster had a 3 rating overall between the two stations. But that would be a big deal, this is definnitely historic to see a Christian AC station pull even these numbers here. When the market was smaller, KCGL came close to these if not just over, but that was with a smaller footprint than KNKL/KKAT has. And for the first time in years, KANN shows up. Also, 99.1 shows up as KJMY-HD2, they will be hit and miss for a bit as the audience solidifies. There are other side things too, like KMGR getting nearly a point. And so it goes, most of the major players moved up or down within predictable ranges, nothing out of the ordinary. www.radio-info.com/markets/salt-lake-city

There's no way in crap that KKAT number is right:
0.7 share, cume at 64,900 listeners. 2.1 share, cume at 94,700.
Nope. At best, I'd say it should be pulling a 1.0. There's no way TSLs suddenly jumped 200%. Me thinks some evangelical-type got a hold of a PPM meter, and left it next to the radio all month as a way of "spreading God's word," the ministry, et al.
I know there are plenty of evangelicals in Salt Lake, but nothing to justify these kinds of numbers. And the LDS crowd didn't go for KUTR or the Oasis. They certainly aren't going to jam out to K-Love.
Or maybe Arbitron messed up. Remember back in the day when they were giving KARB-FM the credit for VFX?
