This came out of the blue this morning, 97.5 The Blaze is gone.
I was watching the BYUtv Football Media Day specials today, and the second person to be recognized to ask a question was someone from KZNS and they referred to their affiliation as '97.5 The Zone'. Got onto that station, and sure enough, they flipped. So half the country knows the station is gone, whether they ever listened or not. It went out over SiriusXM as well as other outlets.
Last heard 'The Blaze' sometime around 830pm last night, didn't tune in later though.
It remains to be seen if The Blaze will pop up on any of the other rimshot frequencies still hung up in the matter of the 3 Point Media bankruptcy, so we may yet see another flip down the road of one of htem. I know 103.1 was sold but is still running Jack. 105.1 is simulcasting 101.5 right now, waiting to be able to move like 105.5 is, 105.1 will be on Farnsworth once that happens, but there's no active applications for 105.7 or 106.5 to move to their new frequencies, 105.9 and 106.7.
104.7 may as a result of its recent flip to regional Mexican be sold, to Inca Broadcasting (KXOL's owners) so watch for new calls there. This will pare Simmons' holdings down to five, with the CP to move KDWY 105.3 Diamondville WY to 105.5 and be licenced to Oakley.

Now where am I supposed to get my Modern Rock Fix? KHTB 94.9 plays "Active Rock". Can anyone point me to a source of information on when & why 3 Point Media declared bankruptcy?
EDIT: Why is the website still up? Seeing as it hasn't received any updates since the flip it shouldn't exist anymore, right?
