Here's what everyone did in the market over the Holidays period. Sometime in January we'll see what Arbitron has to say for the two main stations that did all-Christmas, KSFI and KOSY.
88.3/105.3 KCPW. Almost no Christmas programs, just a couple of stories mixed into the regular programming as they were aired.
88.7/95.3/107.5 KNKL/KKLV Songs mixed in up until about two days before Christmas then went all-Christmas. They may have continued that today as well.
89.1/89.5 KBYU-FM. Mixed into regular programming, then all-Christmas from about the 22nd on through Christmas day.
89.1 KBYU-FM HD2 'BYU Radio'. Big disappointment this year, not much Christmas programming, unlike what they did in the past. Thought they would do more now that they are on SiriusXM Channel 143. Did come across a few things, not much, although more was done on Christmas eve and the day itself.
89.7 KHRI (translator). Air1 did little, but went largely all-Christmas about Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and may be continuing today also.
90.1 KUER. Some Christmas jazz tunes mixed in, then all-Christmas Saturday night.
90.1 KUER HD2. Rock format, did little if at all.
90.1 KUER HD3. 'Classical 24' probably had the widest selection of Christmas music of anyone, played a lot through the entire season, going all-Christmas for particularly Christmas eve and the day itself, May be playing a few still.
90.5 KBJF and SL translator: Not much Christmas programming, ironic for a Christian station, only did any major quantity of programming Saturday night and Christmas day.
91.3 KYCC: Some Christmas music etc., went all-Christmas about Chrsitmas Eve.
91.7 KOHS. No Christmas music.
91.7 KUFR. Harold Camping's outfit did do a lot, went all-Chrsitmas probably some time before the rest here, but not until December.
92.1 KTCE. Did little (national satellite feed).
92.5/92.9 KUUU. Didn't notice any if at all.
93.3 KUBL. Not much at all.
94.1 KODJ Not much
94.1 KODJ HD2 'utahsmoothjazz.com' didn't do much but more than the oldies format did.
94.9 KHTB. Nothing.
95.5/91.3 KYFO. Did plenty throughout the season, including on Christmas eve a complete Handel's 'Messiah'
95.9 KMGR. Went all-Christmas after Thanksgiving, still going today.
96.3 KXRK. Nothing save for a stray or two.
96.7 KQMB. Mixed in a few. Didn't go all-Christmas this year at any time.
97.1 KZHT. A stray or two maybe.
97.5 KZNS was not expeced to do anything being all-sports.
97.9 KBZN didn't do much if any.
98.3 KLGL. Given Christmas fell on Sunday they ran some that day, maybe mixed in some songs earlier.
98.3 KVFX. CHR, did nothing.
98.7 KBEE. Did more than they had in past few years but not a lot.
99.1 (99.5 HD2, 105.7 HD2) KJMY-HD2/KNRS-HD2) A few strays now and then especially closer to Christmas
99.5 KJMY did harly any.
100.3 KSFI, flipped the soft-AC format to HD2 early, the Christmas format was technically the HD2 flipped over to the main signal, started early November, ended at midnight Christmas night.
100.7 KYMV. As with all other Simmons stations, they didn't do anything.
101.1 KBER. Nothing, that was expected.
101.5/105.1/106.9 KEGA/KAUU/KEGH: Did a few closer to Christmas.
101.9 KENZ. Unlike past years, they did nothing this year, maybe a stray song.
102.3 KDUT. Didn't notice any, but then again some of the songs could be totally different.
102.7 KSL surprisingly did a lot especially Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Rebroadcast the LDS First Presidency Devotional but that was torpedoed by bad editing between songs and speakers.
103.1 KJQN. Did a little, no longer owned by Simmons I believe.
103.5 KRSP. Big surprise in that they went nearly all-Chrsitmas on Christmas Eve through at least part of Christmas day.
104.3 KSOP. Did more Christmas especially Christmas Eve and Day than any of the other country outlets.
104.7 KNIV (KXOL's FM). Could not tell.
105.7 KNRS. Nothing I could find.
106.1 KBMG. 'Jose' didn't do anything I could tell.
106.5 KOSY. Flipped about the same time as KSFI. Are back to their normal format as of today.
107.9/103.9 KUDD/KUDE. Did nothing I could tell.
Internet-only:
Mormon Channel. They don't have a lot yet on the KSL-FM HD2 station which is the Internet feed as well but there were some good programs they had produced so far. This will grow.
Mormon Music Channel. Only started two weeks before Thanksgiving and went all-Christmas the day after that. Are to their sacred music format as of today. PS: This one is totally commercial free, only a sweeper every few songs so you'll know you've got them on.
UtahFM. Didn't listen but I am sure some of the people there did something.
YLDSR.com. Between the three formats they have, they had to have done a lot.
