The December ratings are in. www.radio-info.com/markets/salt-lake-cityChristmas music did not do as well this year. However, KOSY's numbers were up from last year I think, however, KSFI didn't get nearly as many as they had last year, and the AQH was down as well. A couple of other stations took a good hit, mostly KBZN and one of the other hot-ACs had less on the cume side of things. CHRs were obviously not affected at all. KBYU continues to tank, they're below a 1.0 now, down over 2/3 from July in AQH. Cume was slightly up, but they've lost some 40,000 in the cume figures from earlier in 2011. And nipping at KUER's heels (they're down a little too), is KKLV/KNKL. In cume they are still holding steady at about 95,000 but are up in AQH. They appear to be the new number 2 in the NCE race. KRCL had its best showing in years, now at .8 and seems to be moving upward a bit. No real surprises elsewhere, except that 99.1 is actually doing better with the classic rock format than with the classic country format, but if you look at the October column, you'll be able to tell there was a pretty much complete turnover of listeners, a completely different listener base than were with them for the classic country format. Current imaging calls them 'Rock 99.1'.
